The City of New Port Richey Public Works Department maintains an Adopt-A-Tree Program for property owners in the City.

City residents may request an Adopt-A-Tree be planted adjacent to their property on public right of way by contacting:

The department will review your request and proposed tree planting location to determine if any conflicts exist with underground or overhead utilities.  Upon determining an acceptable location, an 8’ to 12’ Live Oak or Crape Myrtle tree will be planted during the fall and with your help in donating water your tree will grow to be beautiful and strong for many decades.

Planting Season: October through January each year

The Tree City USA Program, sponsored by the Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with the USDA forest Service and the national Association of State Foresters, provides direction, technical assistance, public attention, and national recognition for urban and community forestry programs in thousands of towns and cities that more than 135 million Americans call home.
