The Show Must Go On

Our first movie of the season lined up perfectly with a cold front that swept through town and dropped temps into “way too cold to be outside” territory. Fortunately we had the use of Peace Hall as a backup so the committee set up in the cozy warm hall and invited everyone to join us. There were quite a few intrepid souls who braved the cold and had piles of blankets with them that were then strewn around on the antique hardwood floors to create colorful squares of picnic area. Everyone dug out their snacks and settled in as the lights went out for an exciting adventure with the Dread Pirate Roberts, Princess Buttercup and their merry band of thieves.

We really appreciated everyone who braved the cold and helped to promote the movie by sharing the event info on facebook and with their friends. We are looking forward to next month when it will (hopefully) be warmer and we can enjoy the evening in Sims Park. The March movie will be The Sand Lot….just in time for spring training season! So be sure to add Saturday, March 16 to your calendars and plan on joining us for another great free movie in Sims Park!
